Junior researcher Contract Position

CCRED undertakes economic research, teaching and advice on competition, regulation and industrial development in Africa. The economics of competition and regulation is central to understanding the nature and trajectory of economic growth. CCRED has established itself as a leading research centre in the field in Africa. It has a number of ongoing research programmes around understanding competition, inclusive growth and local economic development, including partnerships with the Competition Commission South Africa and the Department of Trade and Industry (please see www.competition.org.za for more details).

The candidate should possess the following:

  • strong academic training in economics (ideally with a masters degree);
  • relevant research experience in competition, economic regulation and/or industrial development; and
  • demonstrated ability to produce high quality research output.

The position is for 12 months.
