Learning Programmes
CCRED has provided capacity building and training programmes in competition economics and economic regulation in southern and East Africa. Types of training offered include short courses and learning programmes for employees of regulators, government departments and private practitioners. Participants have included staff from competition authorities in South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana; National Treasury; National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA); Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA); private economic consulting firms, law firms and economics university students, amongst others.

CCRED staff have also undertaken tailored training for the competition authorities in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Furthermore, CCRED conducts a Masters elective on competition economics at the University of Johannesburg, as well as teaches postgraduate programmes in Public & Development Management at the University of Witwatersrand.
